Hope Inspirations

Growing up on a Wisconsin farm, I loved walking in the orchard and
down the lane. Often I felt acceptance and connection with all of nature around me.

Now as a person who has cognitive challenges at a young age, walking
the land is healing. As I physically hike the hills, I remember my words better.  As I lean and hold still with the camera, I am almost doing yoga poses. I become alert to my surroundings and feel connected to the here and now, dropping stress and sensory overload.
Walking wetlands and prairies and woods also makes me more aware of my calling.

We are all called to restoring relationships. We are called to act as one universe for the sake of our personal health, the health of all communities, and the health of our planet. May these photos connect you to nature. May they inspire restoring
community. May they inspire healing action. May they inspire hope
which is the decision to act. May they inspire “joy, despite knowing
all the facts” (Wendell Berry).
